Tax Manager

Position Overview
The Tax Manager will oversee the tax compliance and planning functions to ensure that the organization meets its tax obligations and strategic objectives. This role involves managing tax-related projects, providing guidance on tax matters, and collaborating with various departments to optimize tax strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns.
Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients and internal stakeholders.
Manage and mentor junior tax staff, providing training and support as needed.
Stay current with tax regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and identify potential tax savings opportunities.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities regarding audits and inquiries.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax services.
Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
