Senior Controls Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced control systems for our automation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in controls engineering, with a focus on SCADA, HMI, and PLC systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and improve operational efficiency, particularly in the fields of polymers and recycling.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop control systems using PLC, SCADA, and HMI technologies.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in industrial control systems to maintain operational efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize workflows and implement lean manufacturing principles.
Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to improve process quality and efficiency.
Create and maintain documentation for control systems and processes, including CAD drawings.
Program and configure control systems using Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, and Rockwell technologies.
Implement data logging and visualization solutions using FactoryTalk and Ignition platforms.
Conduct system testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in controls engineering or automation.
Strong knowledge of PLC programming and control system design.
Experience with SCADA and HMI development.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Knowledge of polymers and recycling processes is a plus.
Proficient in CAD software for control systems design.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
