Program Manager - HSE

Position Overview
The Program Manager - HSE will be responsible for overseeing and managing health, safety, and environmental programs within the organization. This role aims to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and to foster a culture of safety across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification to mitigate potential risks.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Lead training sessions on health and safety practices for employees.
  • Collaborate with various departments to promote a safe working environment.
  • Manage documentation related to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to HSE standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HSE-related inquiries and incidents.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Strong knowledge of Health Safety Environment (HSE) regulations and best practices.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards is a plus.
  • Experience with Health and Safety Management Systems.
  • Proficient in risk assessment and hazard identification techniques.
  • Excellent technical writing skills for documentation and reports.
  • Previous experience in laboratory or manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or CPEA are highly desirable.
  • Understanding of hazardous waste operations and cGMP standards.
