Program Manager - HSE
Position Overview
The Program Manager - HSE will be responsible for overseeing and managing health, safety, and environmental programs within the organization. This role aims to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and to foster a culture of safety across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification to mitigate potential risks.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Lead training sessions on health and safety practices for employees.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a safe working environment.
- Manage documentation related to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to HSE standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HSE-related inquiries and incidents.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management.
- Strong knowledge of Health Safety Environment (HSE) regulations and best practices.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards is a plus.
- Experience with Health and Safety Management Systems.
- Proficient in risk assessment and hazard identification techniques.
- Excellent technical writing skills for documentation and reports.
- Previous experience in laboratory or manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or CPEA are highly desirable.
- Understanding of hazardous waste operations and cGMP standards.
